Rental types are groups of items or services available for rent characterized by common features or attributes that distinguish them from other rental products. They enable you to categorize the rental products based on their nature, usage, and rental terms. For example, Electronics Rentals may include devices like laptops, projectors, sound systems, and cameras for short-term or long-term rental. Similarly, Automobile Rentals may include cars, trucks, vans, and motorcycles that can be rented for personal or business use.
Here you can:
- create a new rental type;
- search for the corresponding rental type;
- sort the product types by alphabetical order, creation status, and types.
Creating a Rental Type
To create a rental type:
- Click + New Rental Type.
- Indicate the rental type name.
- Select the icon from the respective drop-down list.
- Click Save.
Tip: To edit, duplicate, or delete the rental types, click the Dotted Menu, and opt for the appropriate option.
Assigning a New Field Group
You can create a new field group and assign it to the rental type. The field group is a collection of related fields that describe the product for rent. Before creating a field group, make sure to create fields with options, if required (see Products > Fields).
To create a new field group:
- Click New Field.
- Indicate the group name in the pop-up window that opens.
- Select the corresponding fields.
- Click Save.
Once the field group is created, it is automatically generated in the corresponding rental form (see Rental Products).
Tip: To edit or delete groups, click the Dotted Menu, and opt for the appropriate option.
